Get a headstart on the tackle football season by attending the Sharks Football Skills Camp. This is a great chance for new players to get a jump on the skills that they will need on the tackle football field and for experienced players to review and refine skills.
Heads Up tackling and blocking skills will be emphasized during camp. Camp Registration is open online or you can also sign up at one of our onsite-in person registrations.
As part of final team placement, each child is required to participate in one of the official FCYFL weigh ins that take place on Saturdays during the first three weeks of the practice season at Falls Church High School. Each child will need a current DMV ID to prove identity, age, and residency. No other form of identification will be accepted.
It is a requirement of Fairfax County Youth Football League that each player MUST have a valid CHILD ID CARD issued by Virginia when they get weighed in.A Military ID or passport is NOT acceptable for identification purposes. The ID may take two weeks to arrive since the Virginia DMV no longer issues the ID's on site and instead, delivers them, by mail, to your primary resident. Please obtain your ID as soon as you can or you will not be allowed to participate in the mandatory weigh in process that is a requirement to play with the MYFL and FCYFL
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A CHILD'S IDCARD, you need to check the expiration date to be sure that it doesn't expire before October 1st
Anytime there is inclement weather, please check our website and call the Prince William Park and Recreation field hotline (703-792-3281) for status updates. The field line is updated at 3:00 pm and our website is updated at 4:30 pm.
In the case of high heat indexes, the Commissioner of the league will make a decision on modifying or canceling practices based on conditions during that day.
In the event that a storm comes through during practice, we will clear the field at the first sign of lightning and have the kids wait at their cars for 20 minutes past the last lightning and thunder event. . If the system passes without incident in the 20 minutes, we will return to the field. If it continues to storm without interruption, practice will be canceled.
